Kraków Business Services Center


Kraków Business Services Center, a branch office of Swiss -based Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, is a Poland based service delivery center. 

An international team of over 300 employees provides a high-quality service in the field of Finance, Internal Control over Financial Reporting and CECS, as well as Integrated Talent Management to Zurich Insurance Company Ltd and other Zurich Group companies. Zurich Branch in Kraków was established to support Zurich Business Units worldwide and it does not conduct any insurance activities in Poland.

Our Teams

The Financial Services Team in Kraków is proud to serve several Zurich business units around the world, as well as the Group Finance teams. Across the business, our 190+ enthusiastic professionals constitute the operational financial backbone and provide advanced Financial Accounting & Reporting (FAR) as well as Planning & Performance Management (PPM) activities such as:



  • FAR and PPM close activities compliant with IFRS, regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Financial statements, external and internal reporting submission as well as consolidation reporting support
  • Chart of account & financial systems’ master data maintenance
  • Local and global financial projects support
  • Financial processes change management and transformation

The Finance Solutions Management (FSM) team is responsible for a wide range of financial reporting platforms and provides application management and business support services for the Zurich Groups, monthly and quarterly finance processes, such as external and internal management reporting, expense reporting, group planning and regulatory reporting according to supranational frameworks such as Solvency II.

The team ensures multiple financial systems and tools are maintained and managed in line with business requirements and run without any interruptions to the services. We focus on reporting platforms based on SAP technology where our key areas of responsibility are:

  • Finance Applications Management
  • Finance systems customizations
  • Finance systems support

The FSM team also supports different improvement initiatives and provide trainings related to the financial systems worldwide within the Zurich Insurance Group.


The Internal Control over Financial Reporting Testing Team (ICFR) was set up to improve and strengthen the effectiveness of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) in line with Zurich Group internal control framework. Internal testing addresses the risk of financial misstatement by Zurich Insurance Group’s consolidated IFRS financial statements.



Besides the testing of the key controls under the ICFR Framework, the Kraków Testing Team also provides the same quality service for:

  • Controls over Economic Capital and Solvency (CECS), 
  • Internal Controls Integrated Framework (ICIF), 
  • Group Technology and Operations controls (GTO controls),
  • IT General Controls (ITGC) in line with Zurich Insurance Group IT guidelines and requirements.

The ICFR Testing Team supports Zurich business units on the execution and completion of the required testing by verifying those controls are properly designed (DET) and that they are operating effectively (OET).

External auditors leverage from ICFR testing placing their reliance test based on ICFR control evidence. This is achieved via competence and objectivity of the ICFR Testing Team, that is conducting all testing activities following Zurich ICIF Guidelines.

The ICFR testing team also goes beyond the standard testing activities by supporting the potential optimization of internal control framework. 

The Integrated Talent Management Operations team (ITMO) is part of the global Zurich ITM team and provides operational support to the three pillars of ITM at Zurich: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Talent Development.

The ITMO team aims to provide high-quality technical service to end users of the global recruitment, development, and talent platforms as well as support strategic initiatives rolled out by the ITM team.

We manage and maintain the global platforms, working with our partners to ensure accessibility to users 24/7. We support further enhancements to the platforms to reduce complexity and boost usage.

We provide essential training and materials that allow users and administrators to have a seamless experience with the systems. We also work with communities of practice to gather feedback and implement solutions addressing their business requirements.


Social Life


Kraków Business Services Center volunteers, in cooperation with Z Zurich Foundation - a charitable foundation with registered office in Zurich (Switzerland) established by Zurich Insurance Company Ltd and Zurich Life Insurance Company Ltd - support various local and global initiatives as well as social communities. The Z Zurich Foundation is the main vehicle by which the Zurich Group delivers on its global community investment strategy. 

In addition, the Kraków charity team copes with Siódmy Zmysł Foundation helping people with impaired vision to enjoy life as well as ’Kocham Kraków z wzajemnością’ dedicated to disabled people.

Kraków Green Team ambition is to become a leading ambassador of sustainable development on the Kraków market. We voluntarily come together to educate, inspire, and empower others regarding sustainability.

During 5 years of activity, we have managed to eliminate disposable plastic packaging, reduce office paper consumption by 80% and plant over 100 trees and shrubs. This helps us contribute to transform Kraków into a greener place and decrease our carbon footprint.

One of Zurich’s strategic goals is to use 100% renewable energy in all offices. Since 2021, Kraków office is being supplied with electricity from renewable energy sources, which are onshore wind farms.

Sport Team members encourage employees to stay active and contribute to protect the environment by organizing various sport events throughout the year. Together with the Z Zurich Foundation we regularly organise the Summer Cycling Challenge that aims at promoting cycling to work. This is part of our annual ‘Cycle to Work’ initiative. 

Yearly, instead of using the private or public transport, our employees manage to cycle ca. 33,000 km, which results in CO2 emission reduction by 7.5 tons. We actively participate in Kraków Business Run, which also inspires our employees to keep active.


Fun Team focuses on organizing events that bring fun to our employees and with this help to get to know each other better. It's a great opportunity to network, make friends and enjoy the time spent at Zurich. Events like Donut Contest, Ski Day, Family Picnic, Summer Photo Contest, Halloween Pumpkin Fest, the Christmas Party, and many others have already become part of our tradition.
